I understand that we sometimes use the term “minorities” to mean a disadvantaged group of people, but when there are actually more women in the population than there are men, can we really say that women are a minority? And is having two women speak at a meeting on contraception really give voice the millions of women who will be affected by the denial of access to free contraception?

An all-male panel talking about insurers being required to cover birth control is the same as an all-female panel talking about insurers covering erectile dysfunction medication (WHICH THEY DO!) If religion is a reason that birth control is immoral…because God made women’s bodies to procreate, and its unnatural to prevent that process…then shouldn’t Viagra be immoral as...
